This is a small but full of proud post. First of all, thank you for reaching this page. Secondly, thank you in advance for reading this post.
On this spooky night, this post is badass!
The first post was published in "Surgical Thoughts: A blog about surgery" in 2016. Since then, the blog has accomplished the objective of publishing a mean of two posts each month, in a total of 192 publications in 8 years.
Almost 200 posts debated several general surgery topics. Hernia surgery, colorectal, laser surgery, pancreas, liver, hospital organization, health care services, varicose vein surgery, diabetic foot, stomach, cancer and oncologic surgery, thyroid and parathyroid, adrenal, surgical complications, and minimally invasive surgery are some of the topics that have been discussed throughout 8 years of existence.
I believe it is possible to say the idea was a success. Many surgeons read all the posts, comment, share on social networks, talk about what they learned, and agree or disagree. Sharing ideas from other surgeons, debating articles published in worldwide literature, giving my perspective, and making surgeons think about that topic, are the objectives of "Surgical Thoughts: A blog about surgery". Eight years have passed, and 192 posts are available. Let's keep doing it for another eight years and more.
Thank you to all the readers, especially to those who comment because they are not afraid to share their ideas and knowledge. This is the way!
