SURGERY IS KNOWLEDGE, TECHNIQUE AND ART
It is not easy to decide when to operate, but is harder to decide when not to operate. While learning and increasing the capability of making that difficult decision, surgery as a technique must be learned. Surgery is a long learning process, full of glory and mistakes that make us better surgeons. With time, patience and hard work, surgery as an art will come. When knowledge, technique, art and good sense come together, a surgeon is born.
Surgery is knowledge, technique and art, with good sense riding that complex machine.
Learning surgery needs several hours of intense studying. Additionally you must listen and see a lot before you do. Nowadays we have at our disposal technologies to help us learning the technique. Video is one of them. The idea of giving the reader the possibility to see in video a particular surgical technique was the base of this new page in "Surgical Thoughts - A blog about surgery".
"Surgical Thoughts in Video" will provide surgical videos of several techniques performed by me and fellows. I own the copyrights of all images, videos and production. Enjoy!
