NEW VIDEO - HQ! Treating huge perforators with SEPS.

Subfascial Endoscopic Perforators Surgery (SEPS) is a minimally invasive procedure that can treat all perforating veins of the leg. Incompetent perforators are implicated in the etiology of varicose ulcers, can be the reason for a non-healing ulcer, and are responsible for varicose veins recurrence.

Patients treated with long-term dressings and elastic compressing are deprived of the possibility of cure. These patients are not being offered complete and adequate surgical treatment.

Perforators can also be treated by percutaneous techniques (sclerotherapy, LASER, radiofrequency) but with a lower rate of success. With percutaneous ablation there is a progressive recanalization of the perforators, decreasing the effectiveness of the procedure.

During SEPS, the surgeon ligates and cuts the vein. So, recanalization is not a possibility. Additionally, SEPS finds more perforators than the ultrasound. If a perforator is not seen, percutaneous techniques will not treat them. With SEPS, incisions are far away from diseased skin. SEPS can treat perforators under an active ulcer. These are all advantages of SEPS. In the end, the ulcer healing rate with SEPS is higher than 90%.

This new HQ video shows the treatment of huge perforators in a C6 disease. Three months later?... See the video for the final outcome.
