During the summer of '25, Coimbra (Portugal) is going to receive an extraordinary meeting.
On the 25-26 June 2025, the Head & Neck Surgery Department of the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Coimbra (IPO Coimbra) organizes the “Masterclasses in Thyroid Surgery”. Held in Coimbra, this meeting was designed to offer you a group of fantastic lectures.
"Masterclasses in Thyroid Surgery" aims at giving all surgeons the oportunity to learn from experienced Endocrinologists and Surgeons from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Türkiye. In two days, hot topics in thryoid surgery will be discussed, including diagnosis, treatment approaches, remote access, minimally invasive treatments, complications control, ICG and autofluorescence, intraoperative nerve monitoring, radical neck dissections, and innovations.
Dr. Paula Messias (Head of the Head & Neck Surgery Department) and Dr. Carlos Costa Almeida (responsible for the organization) invite you to come to Coimbra during the summer of 2025. Coimbra is a nice city full of history, with narrow streets and centenary buildings, home to the tombs of D. Afonso Henriques (the first king of Portugal) and his son D. Sancho I, with Roman buildings which take you to the Roman Empire, and with nice restaurants and bars by the river. Coimbra is the home of the world third oldest university, where history comes to life in one of the most beautiful libraries in the world (Biblioteca Joanina).
In a limited access meeting (100), attendees will learn from the masters.
