5 + 1 = 6. Happy birthday Surgical Thoughts!

"Surgical Thoughts: A blog about surgery" was born on August the 13th of 2016. The idea was to explore different works and talk about different topics of surgery. The idea was to give the reader a global vision of what surgery is. The idea was to express my ideas and vision of what a general surgeon is and should be. All these ideas aimed to make all surgeons think about different diseases and different surgical procedures, to increase the awareness of rare entities, to increase the willingness to know more, to help keep surgeons updated, and to make surgeons think about the future of surgery.

"First 100 Thoughts"

eBook Free to Download

After 6 years of continuous publication, after 142 posts (2 posts/month) about all different topics of general surgery, after one eBook free to download, I believe those objectives were met. Thanks to all the readers, I was able to keep the blog alive for the last 6 years, along with a continuous willingness to seek interesting papers to discuss. I will keep working hard to make the blog interesting to all the readers. Thank you for your support.

My "fuel" is:

Knowledge is never too much. Knowledge has no limit and overwhelms boundaries. Never let anyone tell you what you should and should not know or do. Do not limit your knowledge to guidelines. Think differently and do differently. Always seek more. Always question everything. Knowledge is the only way to think freely. Knowledge is freedom.
